Faith Bible Church has partnered with local pastors in the Republic of Georgia for over 20 years, coming alongside them in their ministry as they share the gospel of grace throughout Georgia and the Caucuses.

For our trip this summer, we will be travelling from June 11 – June 19, 2025. Our mission this year is two fold:

1. We will be in the capital of Tbilisi to pray and look for open doors with Georgian teenagers to start conversations to share the Gospel of Grace. In the past, we have shared pieces of Texas and American culture to the Georgians, and have listened as they share Georgian culture with us. This helps foster an understanding and openness to listen to one another. We will also teach conversational English to the teenagers.

2. We will be working with the local church as they lead a combination Vacation Bible School / Sports Camp for youth in the capital city of Tbilisi. Our team members will be bringing equipment from typical American sports, such as baseball and football, to show the kids how to play these uniquely American games. The Georgian team will lead the camp, directing team sport activities and sharing accounts from the gospel in a way that will resonate with the kids.

How can you help?

First and foremost, please pray for the team and the local church in Georgia! Pray that the kids and youth will see Christ as we spend time with them and build them up, not only physically and intellectually, but spiritually. Please pray for receptive hearts in Georgia, as the gospel of grace is foreign to most Georgians, who believe that one can never truly know if they have been saved. Pray for the health and safety of the team and all the kids and students we will interact with on the trip.

Second, would you prayerfully consider supporting our trip financially? Just as costs for everyday expenses have increased here in the States, they have increased worldwide, with travel costs going up as well. Your support will cover costs not just for airfare and hotel costs, but also for “on the ground” costs like gasoline, food for the team members and the local Georgians during our ministry events, translators, and sports equipment and American sweets to bring for the kids. The sports equipment we bring will remain in Georgia, so that the local church can use it in their ministry events as needed.

· Towards equipment costs (bats, gloves, baseballs, bases, footballs, etc.)
