Las Brisas del Este is a determined community committed to a pursuing a better future.
Semillas de Esperanza exist at the heart of the community for 25 years. Planted by missionary Andy Patterson and his family.
Supported early on by Estel Matos from Vision Trust.

➔    90+ Children & Youth serving Christ and learning God’s Word.
➔    Former students now teachers, & parents serving as volunteers.
➔    Faithful local church as neighbor & partner.
➔    Children growing in faith, leaders cultivating joy, and youth
building purpose-driven lives.

OPERATIONAL AND INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT

Expand Personnel:
●    Hire two more teachers
●    Hire an additional program assistant
●    Hire maintenance and cleaning staff

Building Grounds:
●    Build out an additional classroom for preschoolers
●    Fix roof leaks and plumbing problems
●    Install AC and generator to safely store medicine
●    Install window guards, security cameras to protect children, medical supplies, and other equipments

Expand the reading center with books that spark imagination and faith.

Expand the deworming program, host a community- wide health screening event,

and provide monthly health education workshops.

Create safe, joyful spaces for kids and moms to play, exercise, and emotionally connect.

Host two youth retreats and expand spiritual formation to draw youth closer to God.

Keep medicine safe and lights on with a new AC unit and generator.
 
Purchase truck to deliver clean water to families in need.

Train staff in trauma-informed care and behavioral regulation and build safe space Christian counseling for the community.

 

Fix roof leak, address plumbing problems, and hire maintenance staff and cleaning staff member.

 

Expand reach and deepen impact: fund two additional teachers and a program assistant

 

Expand preschool, double the number of children served from 90 to 180, secure license from Dept of Ed

 

Feed 90 children five days a week with nourishing meals.

BEYOND 5 YEARS…A COMMUNITY TRANSFORMED

Now Imagine Semillas De Esperanza has:
➢    Doubled in size–with second floor of classrooms for learning, discipleship small groups, space for
spiritual counseling, and a job training center.

➢    Equipped 250+ youth & local leaders spiritually,
emotionally, and physically to serve as Christ ambassadors and ready to enter the workforce.
➢    Built fully equipped adult learning and tech
center to train youth for economically sustainable job opportunities in tech, hospitality, tourism, childcare, construction, and other relevant trades.
