Near Biratnagar, Pastor Pushpa (“Sushil”) Shrestha and his wife, Pratima, have faithfully served since 2010. What began as small gatherings in homes has grown into Adarsha BRC (Baptist Revival Church)—now meeting in its own modest building.

Faith Under Pressure

In Nepal, Christian ministry can carry real risk. Legal restrictions, social opposition, and at times physical persecution make open outreach difficult. Yet Pastor Sushil continues—quietly visiting families, strengthening believers, and sharing hope within his community.

Serving and Strengthening the Community

Adarsha Church is devoted both to caring for those in need and to nurturing its small but faithful congregation in a challenging environment. This includes:

• Discipling and encouraging church members to grow in their faith

• Teaching and mentoring children and young people

• Providing practical care for the poor and vulnerable

• Supporting widows and those without family support
