Mission Trip to Kenya

This summer, we have the incredible opportunity to travel to Kenya, Africa, on mission. Our team will be working alongside a community of Maasai believers who currently gather for worship under the shade of a single tree, faithfully meeting week after week with no permanent place to call their church home. Our goal is to help change that by building them a church building, a lasting place where they can worship, grow, and serve their community for generations to come.

The Maasai are one of Kenya's most well-known and resilient peoples, traditionally semi-nomadic herders who have preserved their distinctive culture, dress, and traditions for centuries. Recognizable by their vibrant red shukas (cloaks) and intricate beadwork, they live across the sweeping savannas of southern Kenya, where wide-open grasslands stretch toward the horizon beneath acacia trees, and wildlife roams freely across the plains. Life here is deeply communal and rooted in family, cattle, and land. Despite the beauty of the landscape, many Maasai communities face real hardship, with limited access to clean water, healthcare, and educational resources. Yet in the midst of these challenges, this group of believers has held tightly to their faith, worshipping joyfully under open skies and trusting God to provide.

Our team will play a hands-on role in this mission by helping to construct the church building, coming alongside local believers in the work, and sharing in worship, fellowship, and encouragement with the community throughout our time there.
